Best thing for me about 114 is being with my friends win or lose but the second best thing is everyone coming by at halftime.

Im going to title this pic the circle of life. Unfortunately OLV72 went to bathroom and Tom’s been out sick BUT awesome to have Jack Williams ( standing next to me ) who’s been posting since he was 14 and now is practically an old man plus awesome to have Monte come by with his daughter and our great buddy BrookJersey to come plus our buddies Jorge Mango Ortiz and Ejoyce and his son and Chad and others

And of course my 114 buddies Red Storm Rising Weatherman and Kranmars and Ralph

SigEp and David Russell we will definitely wait for you guys for the UConn game

Photo credit to Nathalie who said after the game “ you aren’t a miserable SOB when we win “ :)

Great picture. Wanted to stop by but was sold out. Good seeing the Charleston group! Go johnnies!
I think we might do the other stout event that’s an early afternoon. The 10:30 am ones no way can I start that early. Those noon games are strictly for postgame drinks :)

And forgot to Mention our buddy Paul who sits with us.

Funny story. I'm on the train with Nathalie to MSG yesterday and wearing my Johnnies gear and the conductor said " Go Johnnies " we start talking ( I think SJU85 was on train with us at this point with his son too ) and the conductor tells me his friend at the Knights of Columbus is a huge St Johns fan and has season tix. I ask him what is his friends name I might know him. He says Paul D---. I crack up laughing and tell him Paul's our buddy and sits with us in 114. Small World !!!

Speaking of another Paul (sorry, I don't know his last name), I was in the gym in my community here in Venice, FL this morning, of course wearing a St. John's tee shirt, after the big win. As I was preparing to leave, this guy (Paul) introduces himself as a St. John’s 1984 grad who was the QB on the football team. We talked for a while, and it comes out that Alumni Hall took good care of him back in the day. He moved here from NY in the last year, so looking forward to seeing him, getting to know him, and talking Johnnies basketball.

Here is your guy! Great player at SJU...ended up getting a free agent tryouts with the Giants. Unfortunately he tore his knee cartilage in training camp. He ended his career with 32 TDs passed, 3773 passing yards, 278 completions.IMG_20240126_105254.jpg

I believe there were one or two St. John's guys in the NFL that played in the strike games during the 1987 season, though I couldn't tell you who. I just remember hearing about that once.

Yes I was there. I know Paul also and hadn’t seen him in over 30 years until our meet up and picture in Section 114 for the Providence (?) game.

Yes, that's him. Can't wait to meet up with him in the gym soon and show this to him. Thanks for that! Love this Red.fans community!!

He told me had played at Holy Cross HS. I mentioned to him that I officiated one of their games this past fall, and that time has not been kind to the football team.

That was one of my favorite 114 moments ever. I knew you would know him but didn’t tell him you were coming and as soon as you saw him it was like old times
