He’s not even close to a PG and that is fine, but he doesn’t realize it yet. That isn’t fine.

I think Alleyne has one of the worst handles any guard has ever had here and I’d be more open to him playing PG for the simple fact that he will get the ball to other players.

I expect Jenkins to score 18 and get 8 assists against lowly Sacred Heart and that will prolong his false-confidence and raise his poor shooting #s.
 
I know Jenkins can be frustrating at times but I do see him valuing the ball more in the last few games than he did in the first few. If he can resist the urge to take 15-20 shots a game & instead sees the value in getting guys like Soriano & Dingle involved then I think he’s a highly effective player.

I like Wilcher and I absolutely see what he can be. I really like the way he distributes and right now he’s a little bit of a Jekyll & Hyde on defense but his mistakes there are mental. Effort and physicality aren’t the issue so I trust Pitino to get him right there. For me he’s one of the few guys on this team I want to see be a little more selfish on offense. We need him to look for his shot more. He’s extremely effective going to the hoop but he lacks confidence at the moment. I feel like when he misses a shot you see him decide he’s not shooting anymore.

I think Wilcher could be a great one but sometimes these guys with special physical ability don’t make the mental leap. Greg Williams Jr obviously wasn’t as highly touted but he had ridiculous physical ability and each of his last two years at St John’s I thought he was going to bust out and be the type of guy who makes an an all conference team but it never happened (helpful piece but never one of the main guys) Some guys just don’t have it in them to accept more of an alpha role. I think for Wilcher to become what we want him to be he needs to start showing that confidence. Next year it’s going to be essential he finds it. It’s the Big East and we’re going to need a confident, lead guard.

if i were to bet i would bet under the odds to play it safe. but lets not get too comfortable with this game many top teams fell to teams like this so far this early season.

I can't make the game again. No CBSSN here. I have a fire stick and KODI but the buffering and stream delay would make me crazy. I was invited out anyway. I will be scoreboard watching.
 
Thinking of Ubering to the game tonight- Drove for the SB game.... absolute nightmare getting out of the parking lot (and i left with 45 seconds left) - plus would be able to enjoy a couple more beverages as well...

Anyone have experience getting an Uber post-game? They take a while? best spot to pick one up- etc...
