Yankees 2024 Season

Just another reason the Yanks will never win anything worthwhile with Boone in charge. Could have sent Gil out after 91 putches to go batter by batter, instead he goes with the awful Ferguson. Can't he see what everyone else does that's he an ineffective MLB pitcher? Time to DFA his ass.

Have to admit I had zero confidence with Torres there. Big knock, obviously.

Always good to win a series on the road, especially against a division rival.

I just find myself scratching my head at least a couple of times every game with Boone as Manager.

Trevino having a nice bounceback year. Even the Statue had a hit today.

Nice series opening win. Rodon settled in nicely.

Good contact up and down the lineup. 11 LOB a bunch too many for me.

Holmes extremely effective and efficient.

I've said this before, but I really like the fact that, at least against right-handed starters, they are alternating lefty and righty hitters in the first 8 spots of the batting order.

I really believe that it is hard for a pitcher to get in a groove, when you see a lineup like that.

Judge may be one of those guys who just isn't a cold weather player. For whatever reason (maybe his California upbringing?).

Unfortunately, that may also be a reason for his somewhat porous postseason performances. Fortunately, he may not have to do it all by himself this season.

game 45.
did i ever mention how much i enjoy first inning gettys? vooooooooooooooooolpe.
blink, blink. 3 zip now.
if trent hits a getty, i am buying ws tickets now.

First Twins batter of game 1 hit a home run, and that was the only run they scored in this entire series.

Now, the AL-worst White Sox come to the Bronx this weekend, although they have won 6 out of their last 8.

Even with a strikeout his last time up, Stanton is hitting an even .250 on the season. Even at that average, he's a weapon, because the hits usually don't come cheap, as his .797 OPS would attest to.

stanton with a getty. another yankee on fire. bring on october.

gil - 11 michael kays thru 5 frames.

another soto blast. lineup on fire. 6 to 1. lets get soto some nil money.

more importantly. happy armed forces day to my fellow vets.

14 Ks for Gil in 6 innings.

Once Cole can pitch I'd go with a 6 man rotation, Can't have Gil pitch from the pen and can't send him to the minors.
Plus the extr day rest should be good on Cole's elbow.

I'd go 6 man, but I keep Stroman on the fifth day. He's a sinkerball pitcher, so constantly pitching with the extra day is probably not a good thing. If he's too strong, then the pitches are up, and he's in trouble.
