Zagoria & Seth Davis Talk 2013 Big East

Davis not very optimistic about St. John's next year.

To the extent we will be young I can't disagree, but he basically admits to be clueless about our recruiting. Asking Davis about SJU was a waste of time.

Davis is wrong here. He said our best player was Harkless...I don't see how anyone who watched more than a handful of games would think anyone but Harrison was our best player. Harkless was our most talented player--there is a difference.

Davis made no mention of Branch...a pg rated #51 overall in 2011 with a half-season of experience for a top 25 team and a half-season practicing and learning with STJ. Branch makes six veterans.

Let guys like Seth Davis think what he wants. We'll be plenty talented when all is said and done next year and a lot deeper.

This coming from a guy that had some of the worst predictions on NCAA Tournament games. He is probably still depressed his dukies sucked it up in the tournament.

I could care less what this guy thinks.

He picked every upset imaginable. Picking upsets is now becoming the norm for him.

To be fair Davis doesnt have a crystal ball and does not know how the recruiting class will pan out. As of now we are glaringly weak up front. Of course things will change if we get CO and Sanchez.

So how is he qualified to comment if he doesn't follow recruiting and knowing what is coming in?

Too busy writing my essay "A Tale of Two Wrists: The Shooting Techniques of Max Hooper and D'Angelo Harrison."

With Fun posting sporadically of late you are now assuming his role. I will call you Mini Fun. ;)

He isn't but it's a BE discussion so the question had to be asked but its unrealistic to expect a national journalist to know specifics about prospective recruits yet to sign. He answered with the info he had, Zags could have given him more info to make an informed decision since he should know what's going on at STJ.

So when they show up on campus a freshman how does he base his comments?

Not sure what you're saying. If it's saying he's not a great analyst, well I can get on board with that.
