Dynamic scheduling critical to make this season work

Just got a text saying Yukonn postponed he game due to COVID issues.

What's troublesome about this, is that UCONN was in the Mohegan Sun Bubble (although just briefly). Hopefully, no one violated procedure.

I said it a few weeks ago and will say it again as it even applies more now. I can’t congratulate CMA and Joey T ENOUGH for the great job they have done keeping their entire teams COVID free. Sure each team has had games cancelled but not due to a St. John’s player or personnel member having Covid. We keep seeing other teams being shut down but neither out men’s or women’s team has had an active case. Just a superb job by our coaching staffs.
Thank you General for pointing out my omission.

Redmannorth you may remember Louie always said "don't put the horns" on the team; for the younger folks, if someone said something to him that he thought could "rebound" back on him and the team, he feared a jinx (such as you have an easy game coming up next). So Knock on Wood when you say anything about our teams and Covid.

Our student athletes deserve a lot of credit too, but the coaches and the entire athletic department has created an atmosphere of family and dependency.

Probably a good thing for us. More time to get it together and potentially another big man comes into the mix.

Now Gonzaga pushing the pause button. I'm optimistic that the season can run it's course, but wouldn't bet the bankroll on it. Hard to believe, but there are plenty of people who still think Covid is some massive conspiracy.

And on a slightly related note, and I'm not going to assume any wrongdoing any any kids who ended up getting Covid, but shouldn't there be suspensions for kids who are found to have violated protocols, which in turns puts the safety of their team at risk?

Knowing UCONN, they'd rather cancel the game(s) then suspend kids(assuming they didn't follow protocol) and risk losing a game or games.
