Haha! I actually am looking forward to being at this game with the fiance. This is unfortunately only our first game of the year so far, but (before anyone claims I'm a fake fan) our schedules are just so hectic, we're involved in a lot of things outside of work.

It's so difficult for me to get to games at this time of the year, because of Christmas preparations combined with CA being at least an hour's drive for me. But I very much plan on being at this game on Saturday!

They are still a top RPI 150...not sure for how much longer, though. They were 99 on Tuesday on ESPN and now are 122.

If any team wants to run with st johns they will lose. The key to our winning is running and pressing. No way UMASS or any school runs with us, we are too deep and too talented

Sorry Jack, but Umass has a very experienced and excellent shooting team this year. They will suck big time next year because 4 of their top 6 players are seniors and Chazz Williams is a once-in-a-lifetime PG for them.
They are lights out from the 3 and they are big and fast.
What separates us from them is shooting.....they can, we can't.

St.John's lost to Syracuse.
Playing a close game to Syracuse is not a plus in St.John's win - loss record.
St.John's stands at 7 wins and 3 losses.
Each of its 3 losses were "winnable".
Good teams win winnable games.
Losing games to Wisco, PennState and Syracuse will hurt if St.John's ends up as a sub 20 win "bubble team".

A ridiculous and defeatist mentality. They are pretty good, but I think we hve more than enough talent to beat them. We are also big and fast. And I don't think Chaz would kill us. Combo of Rysheed and Branch is big and fast, with Obekpa behind them. I'm not going to to automatically concede a loss to Umass when we just went to the wire with undefeated Cuse and were a missed free throw from bating PSU and only having losses to two top 5 teams.
