Yahoo Sports Article On St. John's

Rysheed was ranked the #3 overall player in his class according to some rankings? Wow, I knew he was top 15 to top 20 but I didn't know that a publication had him as high as #3 overall

Quite a comment from Lavin that Rysheed is the most skilled player that he has ever coached, including Baron Davis

I think they meant #3 point guard.

Actually, I think that is a typo. I believe it meant he was ranked #3 overall at his position.

I 've seen where Rysheed was rated as the #3 pg in the class but not #3 overall.

Ahhhh, thanks guys...I read this:
Jordan, the Philadelphia high school player of the year who was rated by some recruiting services as the No. 3 overall player in the country
and got confused

I have not seen Rysheed Jordan play. Will he be a PG as good as Erick Barkley? That is the kind of pg this team needs.

Barkley was also older when he came to college and, IMO, played with a better group of players.

To answer your question.... Jordan can be as good, as Barkley. The kid has the tools. Hopefully, he's able to put it together for us. Frankly, I think he'll be an NBA first-round pick after his sophomore season. Could be a high draft pick.
