Xavier

I was thinking I don't want to look at redmen.com when they had the lead because I would have bet alot more than I did on the X money line that someone would get prematurely excited. Should have known it would be the teenager, lol.

Unfortunately, I won't get to keep hoping to win the $12,000 on X to win the championship on a $6 bet, could've hedged pretty well if they won this game. Loved rooting for this X team though, great coaching, chemistry, heart and mix of talent. The fact that we beat this Xavier team twice is very impressive.

Can't stand hearing Reggie tonight.

He's awful
Agree. Compare everything to NBA and in first game confused a 6'8 right handed shooter with a 6'3 lefty point guard on N Carolina, Justin Jackson and Marcus Paige respectively and he did it while the 6'8 Jackson rose over his defender to shoot a right handed jump shot. Awful.

Just got home from Staples Center. Xavier played great. Arizona was not very impressive. If they play the same way on Saturday, Wisconsin may win by double digits. One thing I found amusing. Arizona fans are pretty passive. A few diehards were imploring people to stand up and get loud. Most people ignored them or told them to sit down because they were blocking their view. Sounds very similar to the complaints on this board about SJU fans.

And here I'm thinking we've finally got a thread for Xavier High School

i wasn't impressed with either team. Xavier beat ole miss and Georgia state...what a fantastic run for them to the sweet 16! They are a very average team and were way over-seeded. Arizona played horrible and looked like they had no clue on how to attack that zone. Lucky for them they live to play another day and are slight favorites against Wisconsin

Arizona play awful. Xavier played well until the last five minutes and then the talent disparity showed. They couldn't separate at all from the Zona defenders.

X shrunk the game and controlled the tempo for 35 minutes. We were a better team than Xavier...no question but had a glaring deficiency.

Love the program and the coach. In fact, I think I've loved the program since they beat Georgetown 25 years ago and loved every coach there since. It's a non-blue blood school/athletic department that really gets it. Wish we would stop having such long stretches of cluelessness here and could be more like them.
