Wouldn't You Think?

Wouldn't you think that we should be able to recruit a top point guard (2012), especially since we lack one right now. Not to take away from Greene but I'm sure Lavin is looking not only for frontcourt help but a point guard as well. I would think if I was a top #50 point guard I would have a great chance of starting next year at St.John's. What do you think?

Not a lot to choose from.

There is only one top 50 guard in the country -- Nino Jackson at 46 -- who is uncommitted. There are only five total still undecided in the Rivals top 150.

I'm guessing that if we get a PG next year, it'll be from the JUCO ranks. Hopefully, Rysheed Jordan will come in 2013.

I also believe our chance of getting a PG next year will probably be through the JUCO ranks. The staff is very, much in the thick of things when it comes to Jordan.

A JC guard in this class would be optimal. I want Rysheed Jordan in 2013. I think hes going to be a monster. Would love a class of Sina, Jordan and Lawrence in 13.

We've probably have had better JUCO's than a lot of other programs (hell after Larry Johnson, Walter Berry may have been the greatest JC transfer of all time). But we've also had some duds like Grady Reynolds, Albert Richardson, Mike Menniefield (sic?).

I don't believe that it can be said that St.John's has been the beneficiary of many quality transfers during the past 2 and a half decades.

If I recall correctly- Boo Harvey & Michael Porter arrived at St.John's in 1987 which is 25 years ago.
