know he's got bum shoulders and is not able to play..

He had surgery on both of them before following Matt here.  Played a few minutes early on and then apparently still no good.

Did he have any additional surgeries on one or both since his last time on the floor this fall ?

Probably irrelevant and not promising but just never heard what the condition really is... more surgery needed or just more time to heal/rehab?

I don't recall why he is out. If it is his shoulder(s), it's obviously possible that he returned to soon or that the surgery did not do the trick. I certainly hope the latter is not the case, more for the kid's sake than anything.

Williams was a good stop gap acquisition by Matt, considering roster mess. Perhaps he comes back healthy & impresses next year, but I'm not counting on it. Yakwe, Sima, Owens, Freudenberg & Amar will be more than adequate interior group in my opinion.

Yep. We are starting to have " nice" problems, options, possibilities off the bench; no one player or recruit is program shattering.

No more "roster messes" which this staff inherited.
Amazing what Chris Mullin and staff have accomplished and, agree?, even the "great" maestro Mike K could do no better with what our staff had to begin with!

Balancing a college roster is a piece of cake compared to an NBA roster, where it takes real talent to know how to work the salary cap and not get saddled with a lot of bad contracts. Donnie Walsh did an amazing job cleaning up the Isaiah Thomas mess, and in a similar vein, Mullin and his staff have done a terrific job cleaning up the mess that was left them that goes all the way back to _____'s (will not name him because it inflames the board) first season.

I don't think he was fully recovered when we saw him. A healthy Williams would have helped us this year. Boy, have we had a lot of injuries this year , which also contributed to Losses. Simas injury was also a big blow this year. But if you re going to have a lot of injuries , might as well be in a throw away year. That's why depth is important, which the staff is working on.

Xavier's depth and versatility should be the model. What a nice balanced roster Chris Mack has put together. I think CM is going to do the same.

Good move since the mere mentioning of ____'s name causes me major inflammation
