Was supposed to be there all four days, at least that was the plan, but ended up being the same weekend as my daughter's college graduation. Probably better that way travel wise since I just got back from Hong Kong this weekend and am off to Australia next Friday. Still remember sitting in the 17th hole bleachers at the first open at Shinnecock and watching Corey hit that fairway wood, couldn't see the 18th green but the way Corey raised his arms it was apparent he liked it and had sealed one of the most improbable US Open victories of all time.
