Does anyone know the process and who is in charge?

What is Cragg's role?

Is iit traditional to have a Committee be part of the process at other schools?

Apologize for simple questions, but am confused by what I read.

Cragg answers the phone for Joe O.

I think it is obvious that Cragg is powerless in the hiring of a new coach. We will find out if he agreed to this before he came on board by his staying or leaving.
Who is actually calling the shots has always been a mystery. Recently it seems if a donor is willing to pay the salary he can select a coach who gets approved by the mysterious board. It has only been since the signing of Lavin that SJU opened up the pocketbook. Prior to that it was hire an ass't or mid major coach who wouldn't demand much money.

I would think that the AD would select and recommend a candidate for the board's approval, giving the money involved.
