Where we are today 5-31-2019

With the rapid flow of recent activity I wanted to make sure I have got all of this correct.
This is what I believe to be true:

We have eleven scholarship players coming in next year assuming a return for Heron who has not indicated otherwise and no return for Simon and Trimble who have indicated they are leaving.

Of these eleven scholarship players we have two freshman, five Sophomores, three Juniors and one Senior. Five of these players are guards although only one McGriff is a pure point guard. Six players are forwards and Roberts and Steere are the most likely candidates to play inside with Sears also possibly being an inside presence.

Based totally on Past Performances Heron and Figueroa are the two most likely to fill up the stat sheets for us but it is unknown how different things will be with a new coach and staff implementing a new system. This leaves us with many things that are possible to emerge and with reason to be both hopeful and cautious with our expectations for immediate success.

Lastly we have a full basketball staff of seven with experience, a track record of success and relationships both locally and nationally.

Please let me know where I am off base on my understanding of where we are at today because there has been a lot to digest recently.

Great summary. I counted 11 guys last night. Others can critique the heights and weights. Looks good to me. Thanks!

Looks good to me GZ except if you count Caraher as a forward (you have him listed as such and I'd agree), we only have 4 guards (Williams, McGriff, Heron & Wright) - still need that second PG.

I think Eli Wright is viewed to be a very good player who may surprise next season but an SG/SF 'blend' more than a 'guard'.
Also, looks to me like we go 3 deep in the PF/C 'spots', so another 'big' for depth would be a good move imo, if possible.
But NCJ and others have nailed it: getting a seasoned PG is a must to feel 'comfortable' going into the 2019-20 season.
Here's hoping...
