Where Are They Now?

How does some NBA team not take a chance on Sir Dom?

Being drafted late in the second round, by Lebron's team (at the time), where he basically played the same position as Lebron, really was a handicap right from the start. It was probably the worst thing that could have happened to him, professionally at least.

He would have been better off not being drafted at all, because he likely would have been invited to try out for ,multiple teams, and he could have basically chosen which one he thought was the best fit for him.

Sir Dom's problem in NBA is same problem he had with us his first few years. He is a 4 or 5 in a 2 guard's body and his biggest weaknesses (suspect handle and weak outside shot) are close to fatal at the NBA level. He thrived for us as a 4/5 but that is not possible in NBA.

Senior Night
All UConn's senior honorees are on target to get their degrees this spring, Jalen Adams and Eric Cobb in urban and community studies, Kassoum Yakwe and Tarin Smith to get masters degrees in educational psychology

Kassoum Yakwe rides his injured leg and scooter and out to center court to accept his framed jersey

Wow... Yakwe got a masters degree in 4 years after leaving HS a year early ?

That's impressive. Hope he succeeds at whatever comes next.

This is one of those very rare nights I'll root for UConn.

Agreed. Easy kid to root for as a person. As a player, one of the most puzzling kids I’ve seen considering how he looked as a freshman (and a year early). Many on this board attributed his regression to the staff just as much as the kid, but before the injury he was the exact same player for Hurley.

Good for Kyle Cuffe Jr. We are due for the son of a former Johnnie to come play for us... maybe a possibility down the road?
