Now that most teams in the conference are half-way through their conference schedule, what's everyone's power rankings?

Here's mine...

1. Villanova
2. Creighton
3. Xavier
4. Seton Hall
5. St. John's
6. UConn
7. Providence
8. Marquette
9. Butler
10. Georgetown
11. DePaul

The shocker up there is probably St. John's over UConn, I'm just not impressed with UConn their last few games when they've been without Bouknight, and he's probably out another 3+ weeks.  I also think Seton Hall is really good, they've just had a rough schedule playing Nova/Creighton 4 of the last 5 games, they do have a favorable schedule coming up though, wouldn't surprise me if they ended up being the 3rd best team in the conference.

With Nova and Creighton in tier 1, Gtwon and DePaul in tier 3, all the remaining teams are lumped together in tier 2 and can finish in any order.

It's tiers:.
Tier 1:  Nova (clearly better than the Tier 2 teams)
Tier 2: Creighton, Xavier, Seton Hall (good enough to beat Tier 3 even on an off night)
Tier 3:  UConn, St John's, Marquette, Providence (throw them in a hat, could beat or lose to anyone on any given night)
Tier 4:  Butler and DePaul (not good, but have some talent)
Tier 5:  Georgetown (well-coached and they compete, but zero talent this year).

Progress for Johnnies and perhaps setting tone for fun next season. Early, but may be a bit ahead of schedule. Beats total irrelevance :)

not sure the 5th tier is needed, but get your point.

As for Hall- coming into year thought they would be strong, but the more I watched, the harder it is for me to think of them as Tier 2.  Maybe they surprise in remaining schedule but I just don't see Mamu being a key leader.  When he's on he's real good, but when he's off or not involved he gets visibly frustrated and opponents play to that. Rhoden continues to progress nicely though and Reynolds Jr. exceeds any expectations he once had as a walk-on.   I can see Hall at top of Tier 3.

I pretty much agree with you.  Our impression of Mamu is colored by the fact that he destroyed us, but he has pulled a disappearing act in far too many games and is too easily frustrated.  But outside of one loss to Providence they've beaten everyone they've played in Tiers 3-5, so you kind of have to put them in 2 IMO.  But they're closer to the pack than Creighton, for sure.

Beautiful part is that our destiny is in our hands at this point in the season, which is all we can ask for.  Now we have a stretch where we have to play like a top half team.  Keep playing the way we have, and we have a good shot at winning quite a few of the remaining games.  Let's keep it up.  One game at a time.  Big one here against Nova.

See our 2nd game with Seton Hall being very different
