LOL

My list is small.
1. Lovett and Ponds start in backcourt
2. Mullin either look more involved or go completely the other way. Read a newspaper or a book during the game like coach Finstock from Teen Wolf. Or take a nap on the scorers table. Really I would be good either way.

Excellent... I think if your #1 doesn't materialize many of the others will not happen. Since I am liking what I am hearing about our backcourt (Ponds/Lovett) I think many of those will happen.

What I'd like to see....
1. Taking care of the ball much better with a real PG. First and foremost.
2. Getting nastier on D. Lot's of subs for periods of swarming, especially when we overmatch our opponents
3. A killer instinct
4. Better foul shooting
5. Crisp ball movement

good lists. I'm very interested to see what our defense looks like with the small guards. gave up a lot of easy shots last season and the Big East has some great guards this season which will be very tough matchups. I like the way Paultzman is thinking wrt steals and deflections.

Turnovers and FT could be a big swing for us if we can get out of the atrocious and at least into acceptable.

As for #2 I'd like to see better seats so my ass and back aren't hurting by halftime,Sly Fox Reopen, Better Pretzels, Air Conditioning or just open a hole in the ceiling to let the 110 degree heat escape the top section

I'd also like to see us competitive enough that we all do the Nova Road Trip again and not just look at it as a long drive to eat CheeseSteaks :)

Also would like to see a win down in New Orleans although any trip to New Orleans where I can stuff myself with Roasted Oysters and Abita Beer is a good enough excuse to go even if we lose

Let's face it, we need improvement in most areas of the game. We ranked near the bottom of the Big East in almost every major category. I'd like to see:

1. Increased physical play in the paint. Rebounding.
2. Improved free-throw shooting. Last year's team was one of the worst I can remember.
3. Better on the ball defense and less reliance on the blocked shot.
4. Improved half-court offensive sets. Make the extra pass, better looks.
5. More intensity from Coach Mullin (HOF).

A CA seat, invented by a back surgeon btw.

How about more scenes like this

That picture would indicate that Amar and Fred were likely on the court before the clock hit 0:00. Hopefully it won't happen in a close game where the technical FTs for leaving the bench might be the difference. ;)

If we're ahead late in close games, Mussini better be out there. Need him to either stick the FTs, if they foul him, or, in they won't foul him, dribble out the clock.

You think he's capable of dribbling out the clock?

My plan is to turn the channel whenever Lovett comes out of the game.

BTW it is really scary to me that I am basing all of my excitement of the upcoming season on a few youtube clips of one kid. I guess that is what happens when you spend a decade watching the likes of Geno, Malik Boothe, Phil Greene and Mussini try to play the point.

Ever the optimist. :)
