MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Eshaunte Jones' 3-pointer with 1 second left lifted Division II Northern Kentucky to a 77-74 exhibition win over West Virginia on Friday night.

The Mountaineers rallied from a 42-29 halftime deficit with Truck Bryant hitting a 3-pointer with 7 seconds left that tied it at 74.

A few days ago, Butler lost by 3 to Division II, Northern State (from South Dakota). NS finished the game with a 12-0 run. These games seem more important for small schools trying to be in the spotlight for a couple of hours.

Keep in mind that West Virginia has a ton of freshmen.

Yea, on the team they have quite a few freshmen, but their starting roster is very talented and experienced. Names like Truck Bryant, Kevin Jones, Dennis Kilicli, Aaric Murray and Kevin Noreen. They are not a young team in the starting lineup at all.

Norm Roberts claims they are a young team (he also thought ST J team composed of 10 seniors was a young team). :)
