Worst hurricane impact since I moved her in 2011 (Florence in 2018 was close) although thankfully not as bad here in Lake Norman. We had lots of rain and wind but didn't lose power. But the mountain towns of Asheville and Boone (App State) had huge flooding issues. My son who is at App. currently has no water as the entire county of Watauga is without water due to water main break and the main drag in Boone is under water. Asheville is in even worse shape.I know we have some west coast guys on this site and ones inland and up like Dinkins who might not get hurricane status but are going to get flooding hope you all get though it ok
My parents next door neighbors moved to Asheville like 10 years ago awesome house on big land on I guess a mountain and they had to evacuate first time ever because of potential landslides because I guess they just got a lot of rain pre hurricane. My parents haven't heard from them in a day hopefully their house is ok they definitely got out earlyWorst hurricane impact since I moved her in 2011 (Florence in 2018 was close) although thankfully not as bad here in Lake Norman. It looks really bad there and is probably going to get worse before it gets better as water has nowhere to go.My parents next door neighbors moved to Asheville like 10 years ago awesome house on big land on I guess a mountain and they had to evacuate first time ever because of potential landslides because I guess they just got a lot of rain pre hurricane. That is kind of the same for us except I have a virtual forest on my property and a tree came half down between mine and my neighbor's driveway that I will have to get removed this week.Just texted with Dinkins he's all good in SC. Got a lot of rain but nothing like those floods 8-10 years ago
I'm sure you can get an outside attorney here to argue that the tree your neighbors responsibility. Especially if you are going to move and don't care about an angry neighbor for a year or 2. Two years from now my wife will have me back in central Jersey and I'll have to worry about real estate taxes instead lol! At least I'll be a train ride away from MSG.
Small potatoes, it won't cost much and we're good friends with our neighbors. It's funny but as a retired attorney, I am one of the last people to get into a legal dispute.I'm sure you can get an outside attorney here to argue that the tree your neighbors responsibility. greetings from the free state of weather beaten florida. we and our home dodged 2 weather bullets. the first bullet was a tornado warning 4/10 mile from our home. for the 2nd time in 20 years we huddled in our laundry room for safety. no tornado happened. the next bullet was helene. no issues. merely 3 1/2 inches of rain. we are 5 miles from the gulf. the storm surge hit those within a mile of the gulf. many medium size branches down. nothing else. no power outages. winds peaked in venice at 69 mph. stay safe.
