We got Lavin'd

Is it me or did Norm Roberts kidnap Steve Lavin? I thought it was a mirage but now I am quite sure that Norm is pretending to be Steve Lavin..The no offensive sets, the no pressing a team with only 6 players in their rotation. The substitutions that do not make sense. Have a star in the making Jordan and he isn't to be found. The loyalty to players that don't play well at all.. Did Norm ever lose 10 in a row in the big east???

At this point, Lavin has to be on the hot seat. He got the players he wanted but, they are not basketball players. The kid from Dix Hills played a great game and can shoot, Harris. I don't recall Steve giving him a sniff.

He won't be fired but, could resign gracefully.he is not a winning COACH. And, forget his UCLA record. HE WAS RUN OUT OF TOWN ON A RAIL FOR EXActly this kind of COACHING ineptitude.

No Jordan and the crazy scheme to inbounds to Hooper after the TO. I do not see us winning 5 in the BE this yr.

Lavin is no fool. Lavin knows that his name brand and credibility are quickly depreciating and next season won't be much better.

For the above reasons I would not be surprised is Lavin has asked his agent to attempt to negotiate a dual deal where StJohns buys out his contract and the agent negotiates Lavin's return to ESPN.

In my opinion Norm was a better coach than Lavin. Norm's biggest problem was that he lacked gravitas and therefore could not recruit sufficient talent to win. Don't get me wrong; Norm was no great "X's" and "O's" guy but If Roberts had had the talent that Lavin has on his team then he would not be winless in the Big East Conference as Lavin is today.

when lavin got phil greene to commit, he was a long shot, a kid that early in h.s. had promise, but didn't develop...he has Jordan a kid that will blossom..lavin likes long shots, he should give the ball to Jordan, and the keys to the gym..tell the kid you are gonna take us as far as you can...that's it...the season is a lost cause unless something major happens..the only major change that can happen, is give the ball to Jordan tell him this is your team..otherwise you will continue to lose games, and that is all she wrote, cause next season does not look any better, matter of fact much worse

In two minutes or was it four at the beggining of the game he was totally out of control. After that none of us know what happened.

PLEASE enough of Roberts. If he was so great he would have been picked up to coach another team. He is a nice guy but he cant coach and couldnt recruit.

Hey Dee
Using your standard let me ask you: if at the end of this season Lavin quits/ is fired at StJohns do you believe that another school hires him as head basketball coach? I don't think so.
