WE ARE SJU

Since someone started a thread asking for one particular member's help getting him through the latest SJU basketball crisis, I thought I would do the same. However when times get tough I like to help myself ;) So I am asking help from yours truly, the only person whose opinion I truly respect. So like a bridge over troubled waters here is what the team should do:
Start-Sima, Ahmed, Mussini, Ponds and Lovett

Will have to play zone, though any lineup with Mussini in it will struggle guarding anything. But the only strength this team has is Lovett, Ponds, Ahmed and yes Mussini making shots.

Since we have no low post players, Ahmed doing his bull rush thing against 4 should cause problems and get him to the line and probably foul him out as well...but worth it.

Yakwe 6th man. I know he is a great shot blocker and that puts him out of position a lot but if he does not get 6 boards a game he does not play the next game. He also is not allowed to shoot unless it is a dunk.

Owens will be the 7th man and Ellison the 8th only because you can't really just play 6.
Owens might be salvageable in short spurts. Eliison...well Louie Arena should replace shot clock with a running clock showing how much time until Simon is eligible and Ellison can transfer.

Amir-should play for 5 minutes each night purely for comedic value. Though in fairness Ellison's misses are much funnier.

German Barry Milhaven-he should only play when we are losing by 20. So he is going to get a ton of pt in BE play.

SJU should replace dance team with strippers.

Yakwe, the freak athlete, had four rebounds last night; he's averaging 4.3 for the season. That's not good at all. OK, he did have seven blocks last night. Wish they had stats on how many times he was out of position, how many passes he missed (one great one underneath from Ellison). Believe he also had a potential dunk blocked. I shudder when the ball comes to him. I am good with your starting lineup. I think we should give Richie more of a shot, and not relegate him to garbage time.

RF moves around like the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz. He also is 2-14 on the season. I would play Evander Holyfield more than him.

All you guys with suggestions and solutions, moving this piece around, employing this strategy-know one thing-most of our players and most of our coaches flat out stink (for this level).

You know you shouldn't start a thread about yourself. PM yourself directly and ask these questions to yourself. What a disgrace. Some people have no class on this board.

I disagree, and believe he has basketball smarts. And given a good solid shot, he will be a major contributor. Granted, maybe not in his freshman year, and playing in a different country. But the kid should be given a shot. I hope as the year goes on he will get that shot. BTW, have we ever seen a guy around here who was not as quick as others, who could not jump, but who used his BB IQ and could shoot the ball? Oh yeah, CM. Kid had to have earned that #20 somehow.
