We are New York's Team

I'm happy that finally we have "We are New York's Team" slogan and ads around the garden but to be honest i feel like its too close to the Syracuse slogan "New York's College Team" and lacks creativity.

I would have liked to see "We are the City's team" or "We are New York City's Team" something different from cuse.

With all the cabs saying cuse is New York's team they are clearly saying they are the city's team without saying it, why don't we just get to the point, you can be the upstate team, we are the city's team.

what are everyone's thoughts on this?
 
regarding the slogan, anything is better than nothing. at least the school finally made a move.


and the times square ads are 2nd to none. much better than the Cuse ad in Yankee Stadium
 
It's purposely done to stick it to Cuse.

Fordham has a similar phrase as well. Something about New York is our campus.

Only so many ways to skin the cat.
 
With regards to the commercials, I saw a commercial for our women's team during the Knicks game the other night. The cost of that 1 commercial is probably more than the ticket revenue for their entire season. I know people like gender equality and everything but the women's team can't be profitable enough to warrant that type of commercial.
