Wagner 23 3pt attempts vs Penn St.

According to their coach they have a bunch of guards that can shoot although they hit only 2 of 23 from 3. Should be interesting to see how they shoot the 3 vs St Johns. They are not a Div II team.

Looks like their center fouled out in 8 minutes of play.

They were picked to win the NEC by the coaches. Dan Hurley left cupboard full for Bashir Mason, the youngest coach in D1 (I think he's 29).

I favor us to win, but I don't think this will be a cakewalk (the same with Bucknell, too).

Man, you have to work hard to foul out in 8 mins.
One overlooked positive from the Wisconsin game - our FT shooting has improved over last year...

Dele Coker could do it in a minute

LOL

Etan Thomas could do it in 5 minutes. Especially, during the early stages of his career at Syracuse.

Hers is a quick summary of Wagner's team this season:

Wagner finished second in the conference standings in each of the past two seasons. It returns three starters which last season contributed roughly 70 percent of its scoring and rebounding.

Wagner features a talented back court with Kenneth Ortiz(11.8 ppg, 5.4 apg, 4.3 rpg, 2.0 spg) and Latif Rivers (13.0 ppg, .394 3-pointFG percentage) both averaging double figures in scoring last season.

Ortiz is the two-time defending NEC Defensive Player of the Year, and he helped the Seahawks lead the league in field goal percentage defense last season. Others contributors for Wagner include Orlando Parker (5.5 ppg, 4.3 rpg) and Naofall Folahan, the latter of whom is one of the top shot blockers in the NEC and currently sits second on the school's all time with 141 rejections.

I live around the corner from Wagner so I usually keep tabs on them. They have talent (Rivers/Ortiz) but we should still bury them. Anderson (former Izzo recruit who should be beating out Harris for minutes) and Moody continue to be an enigma. Let's hope they don't find their way against us.

I'm a fan of Penn State as well as St. John's (don't worry St. John's is my number one team, and i will be rooting for them when we play PSU) and I'm pretty knowledgeable of penn states squad. And let me say if penn state was able to win by 12, we should win by 20.

Our next four opponents (Wagner, Bucknell, Monmouth and Longwood) also play against Penn State.

Longwood won at TCU last night. Not sure if TCU is any good but it's a road win against a power conference team.
