Mods all I ask is don’t move this for 24 hours. Our very own Monte’s sister is running in the democrat primary tomorrow is running for surrogate court in Brooklyn. Rosemarie Montalbano ( endorsed by the daily news btw ). So do the right thing cast a vote for Monte take a pic of your vote and maybe get a Bronx Pale Ale in 114 or at least a photo op but I’ve been known to buy beers or across the street at Tir Na Nog when I can get the hot Irish girl bartender to give out free beers

Voted for her already in early voting--waiting for Monte to give us vote updates through the night tomorrow

if they serve chianti expect Monte live reports 3 days late

Staying on topic with the politics, elections and Brooklyn theme of this thread, former Johnny and member of the 84/85 Final Four Team, Robert ("Tree") Cornegy, a City Councilman, is running for Brooklyn Borough President.

This is the primary and me not being a City resident, I don't know.  The Mayoral primary is the one they keep reporting on.

I voted for Bob Cornegy.  Remember him well from his year at SJU as member of the bench squad.  He has been endorsed by Chris and Tracy Morgan.  He is in the the top three with fellow councilman, Reynoso and assembltwoman JoAnn Simon who I wouldn't give 2 cents for as she is in the pocket of the UFT.  I have seen his campaign supports at the polls today and they are an enthusiastic bunch who loved my response that I had alreay voted for Bob as he was one of Louie's guys from the the final four team.

Congrats to Montes sister she’s going to win !
And we can also congratulate Monte’s sister in law the Honourable Justice Rosemarie Montalbano on her win last night and her family , including her famous future movie star to be Monte in assisting in her campaign. And of course thank you Mjmaher for your very classy post on this board.

As a former Kingsmen, but a current (for many years) resident of NJ, I could not vote for Rosemarie, but I encouraged everyone I know who could vote, to vote for her, and I am so happy she won.

Being related to our good friend Monte was enough for me, but when you examine her credentials they are superb, so good for her, good for Monte and all of her family, friends and supporters for getting her voted in and congratulations to the residents of my great (former) Borough for getting yourselves one helluva Surrogate, one with integrity and with diligence who will make you proud.

P.S. I hope Rob Cornegy wins, he is a true Redmen.

Monte's sister won the primary a few months ago and is now on the ballot in the General on November 2.  I've voted for her an mailed in my absentee ballot.  If she loses, its a "rigged" election.  /media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png  She is running UNopposed but still vote for her if you are in Brooklyn (can early vote now or wait until 11/2).
