Vladimir Manual is out...

per Zach.

Are you SJU "fans" enjoying your purge?

A week ago we had a somewhat solid core (Heron, Simon, Fig and Mack) and a coach. And a four star recruit coming in...

But Mullin just HAD to go...right?

Once Matt left, he did.

Sounds like he is out for now, but with a comment like that, he could be re-recruited.[/quote]

Doesn't read like that.

I don't even remember his name. I'm familiar with the NC State transfer (Steere), I guess Vlad was also a sit out transfer?

Exactly, Mack asked for his release while a Matt-less Mullin was still in charge.

JUCO

Let's face it, Matt leaving started the unraveling of wheels off the bus. And, just in case you didn't know, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.

Well this one was going to be tough eligibility wise with multiple schools, etc.

We are in good company because Vlad has committed to and not played at SHU, St Joe's and now us!

I kid, I feel bad for Vlad, eligibility issues forced him to go JUCO and now when he had the chance to play D-I circumstances fall apart on him.

Hopefully, he gets his course work done and has all the success in the world at a school that doesn't play us.

He wouldn't have been a game changer...just the warm body we need.

Still, there's real pressure to name a coach while we still have some players left. Cragg can have Pitino signed TONIGHT.

The only one leaving that will hurt is simon, no one else. The only other player that i thought had a bright was roberts.
Just dont want to lose heron. Lj, and Williams.

real question: so the players who have said they're leaving, let's say Hurley or some Italian guy who's name ends in an "o" gets named tomorrow, and those same players want back in, does the new coach have to take them back?

Yes, he had to go

Yes, he had to go. His record sucked and he refused to recruit. He's free now to get a pro job if that's his approach to coaching.

No, scholarships are renewed on an annual basis. And players get run off all the time by coaches, new or otherwise.

I think he was a JUCO signee. The question was 'academic qualifier or not' I think.

No, don't have to be taken back, but given that 'bigs' are on the rare side and it's late in the recruiting year, one would think Roberts and / or Manuel would be asked by the new coach to reconsider, but I'm guessing.
