Heard an intersesting rumor today from a Villanova grad. Pretty serious so I won't post what it is since it could be totally false but Google can be your friend...

Is this it? this is what my google search turned up:
"The Radnor Board of Commissioners voted 5-0 Monday to permit Villanova University’s expansion plans to go before the planning commission, although residents in the audience believed it was too soon to start the formal review process.
Villanova is proposing a new Comprehensive Integrated College Development (CICD) amendment within the planned Institutional Zoning District to accommodate plans for new student housing on the south campus along with a parking structure, theater building and student-related retail. The objective, according to the university, is to provide additional opportunities for student housing with associated accessory uses to be moved from off campus to an on-campus setting."
Awesome! More parking for our Big East brethren.

Unless Jay Wright has lost his passion for the university and coaching Villanova basketball, I can't believe that his job is on the ropes. Jay Wright is not a successful coach, he is a huge part of the fabric of the university community. He's the real deal as a person, and has a unique ability to project to all students how special it is to be part of Villanova, not just Villanova basketball. You spend 5 minutes with him, and he is not likely to forget you or what you spoke about.
It's hard to believe how bad his team has been so far this year, but I don't believe that his job is in any jeopardy at this point. If Jay were to leave the university any time soon, at this point I believe it would be totally elective on his part. Unless he has some personal problems, or there is some underlying conflict with administration, I just have a hard time believing this rumor

Just heard the substance of the rumor. If true, Wright would have to resign. If false, just a horrible thing to assert, so I won't repeat it here.

That's tbe rumor going around campus. I know people very high up who I trust very much, who say there is absolutely no substance to it.
Mods should delete this thread completely, because it just perpetuates a dumb rumor which defames one of the really great coaches and men of the Big East.

You know what I mean, oyu being one of the good guys on this board. Horrible untrue insinuations often defame a person indelibly, even when the assertions cannot be proven. I hate giving these things life in text, even though over time it will be proven false.
