I don't know whether I'd be proud or scared to death if i was Villanova fan based on these clips below. Jay Wright and a priest are both involved........

=related

I can't imagine recruits finding this "cute" ...

 hahaha that was funny.
Looking like clownz doing that crap.

I know I`d be like smhhhhh if that was at St. John`s, freaking kidding me.

Lighten up; the flash mob was a spoof performed on the first day of class by Villanova's President Peter Donohue, men's basketball coach Jay Wright and other school administrators recognizable to the Villanova students.

The spoof was done in fun in a self depricating manner to amuse the students.

Personally I believe it is good that a 60+ year old college president and a late 40s successful basketball coach would make themselves available to entertain students in such a way.

Spoken like the parent of a Villanova student.

This must not have been 'cool' for Savon Goodman '12 as he decommitted from Nova and opened up his recruitment.

Now that is good news Moose, thank you.

Wow are u guys serious? It was something that was done as a joke and the student reaction was very positive. It was funny...relax.

Father Peter is a genuinely good guy, a real people person, who keeps in touch with hundreds, if not thousands of current and former Villanova students. He has officiated at the marriage of hundreds of former students. He holds a masters and phD in theatre, and his people skills have made him a much beloved priest and administrator. He is also leads an extremely responsive Villanova administration. Apparently he doesn't dance half bad for a priest.

On the morning of the Va. Tech shootings, I had emailed him about concerns about an incident that occurred months earlier on the Villaanova campus. In the moments that I sent the email, I had no idea that the Va Tech shootings would become an incident reported all over the world.

Within a couple of hours, same day, Father Peter wrote me a long response regarding the incident on his own campus, and how the university had as a result developed a much stronger policy that included the local police department and available technology to improve both the safety to students and a communications network to students and parents informed.

Two of my kids are Nova grads. I can't say enough good things about the school, Father Peter, Father Edmund Dobbin (his predecessor as Nova president) and Jay wright (the real deal as a person).
