Not the complete game, but the first 21 minutes are the highlights of the Sweet 16 victory over Maryland.

Surprisingly this was an easy win for us in Tennessee. My wife and I attended this game. Needed to get by Boston College in the Elite Eight to go to St.Petersburg. Oh well!

I believe you meant Ohio State.

This game was probably my greatest sports prediction ever. Told everyone who'd listen that St. John's would win by 14. Everyone laughed at me.

And to think our center was Ty Grant. So much for needing an imposing big man to be a winning team. This team showed it was all about chemistry.

Thanks been looking for this video. I'm the dork jumping up and down behind Antiono Freeman at the 17:15 mark of the video. Had a great weekend in Nashville and still feel we should have beaten Ohio State!

Even more to your point, Albert Richardson was our starting center even thought Grant got most of the minutes.

For the record, Richardson saw zero minutes against Maryland; Grant saw 36. Enough said about Richardson's contribution to this team.

Good point, I was referring to the actual season.

We had back to back impressive blow out wins against Maryland and Indiana. May have been our most impressive two straight games performance like ever. Too bad we didn't get the call in the next game when Scoonie Penn fouled Eric Barkley in the closing seconds.

NYCRedmen, hope that didn't come off as being snide. It wasn't my intention. (In fact, after thinking about it, I tried to immediately go back and "soften" my post, but my PC went into an "updating programs" mode and I had to wait 15 minutes before being able to get back on, and by then you had already responded.)

I didn't think you came off as snide, maybe snarky (just kidding). It's all good Redken, my only concern was that your reply was going to turn the thread into an anti-Albert Richardson rant, one that could compete with the anti-Jarvis, anti-Norm & anti-Lavin ones we see so often. :p

Also in my top five still have not gotten over the Ohio State loss though.

Ohio state game was first sju game I ever saw and ironically is what made me become a fan.

Ohio State was trouble right from the start. They had one of the few guard duos in America that could match ours, so our biggest advantage was negated. Then, throw in the fact that they had the big guy Johnson, blocking all kinds of shots, and it was a recipe for disaster with our lack of bigs. We really didn't struggle much with centers that year, provided we beat the other teams' guards down the court, which we usually did. Penn and Redd could stay with Barkley and Bootsy though, which gave Johnson even more of an advantage.

I know that Ohio State was the #4 seed in that region, and that Auburn was #1, but I believed then (and still do now), that we would have been much better off playing Auburn in the regional final. Had it been St. John's vs.. Auburn, I think you could have safely booked your flight to St. Petersburg.

The name Scoonie Penn has forever been etched in my brain.
