Verizon Center DC

Has anyone on the board been to the Verizon Center is DC, and if so any recommendation on a hotel close by and also which airport to fly into? Thanks in advance....

Courtyard Washington Convention Center is 2 blocks from Verizon Center. Stayed there this past Monday.

As for the airport, fly into Reagan National airport. (DCA). Closest to downtown.

Definitely fly to Reagan..... flying to Dulles would be like flying to Newark rather than laguardia to get to Carnesecca.

If your budget will allow it the Renaissance Downtown is a great hotel but will most likely not come cheap.


DC Metro will drop you off right at the Verizon Center and is extremely easy to navigate if you want to look around for deals and train it in.

Embassy Suites Convention Center is pretty close to the arena and you get 2 rooms, free breakfast and a free cocktail hour included. It was booked though when I was down there for the G'town game last week. Stayed at the Westin City Center which was a little further away.
