I am less interested in inside baseball info and more interested in the fact that a major NY sportswriter is advocating an obvious hire for SJU that a few weeks ago many thought was never going to happen.

It sure feels like momentum is moving in that direction or else would he really write the column?

He has all the leverage he needs as he won’t lack for offers hopefully both sides come to a reasonable agreement.

I can see them thinking they don't want to draw attention from BET. Which is not a great reason because Ewing already got fired.

Maybe they want to give the man enough time to talk to his players at length before letting him go.
