Using Yawke To Avoid Foul Trouble

I know things are going well, and part of the reason is that AA and Yawke aren't seeing action but I think Mullin needs to find a way to sneak Yawke in a few minutes each game. Clark and Owens are flirting with foul trouble nearly every game. Mullin should take advantage of the TV timeouts, when possible, and get Yawke in on a few defensive possessions before the timeout occurs. It could end up saving a foul and effect the game later on. Of course if the ball does make it to the offensive end with him out there, one simple instruction, 'Don't touch the ball, no matter what'.

I saw the 'Can't Reply' thread and I have the same issue, can't reply but I can start a thread. I've deleted cookies, logged in and out, still can't add a reply, any other suggestions?

I hope Mullin reads this site! That a great idea. Use him as a decoy or maybe in a "rope a dope" strategy. Just pulling your leg Ken!;) I am sure we will see KY very soon out of necessity but his hand, foot and eye coordination just have been very slow to develop. I credit the staff for knowing who their ballers are and minimizing the impact of the two kids that can be a liability in close games.

We haven’t been in foul trouble our last few games until the very end. That’s why they haven’t seen minutes during our winning streak.

Five minutes into the second half vs Marquette Saturday Owens picked up his fourth foul and Mullin played Trimble for about ten minutes against a team who had a height advantage even with Owens on the floor.
Looks like Yawke will only get desperation minutes and puts his senior senior year at SJU in question.

Mullin is apparently superstitious, as the team trainer Linfonte has to wear a tie since he wore one for the Duke game, but never before that. My guess is Mullin would prefer to go with Trimble only off the bench, with Yakwe only if foul trouble develops.

With no depth, Trimble is essentially Chudney Gray from here on out. It would be great if Yakwe could imitate sophomore Donald Emanuel for a couple minutes a game. Alibegovic is a great kid, but he's now Jon Scheiman sitting on Kareem Syed's shoulders.
