The WSJ has an interesting article saying that not-for-profit colleges are separating into winners and losers based on a variety of factors most importantly the success of their students..

In looking up some schools (Harvard #1) COLLEGE OF THE HOLY CROSS was listed at #84, Seton Hall at #292, Villanova # 120, the only St. John's listed # 218 was in Minnesota not our SJU .

Schools that fail to prepare students for success are losing ground.

The "U" has done a nice job of pivoting from "Suntan U" to being a solid acadeic institution as evidenced by its #44 ranking in US News.

He's concentrating on the basketball program. Can't you tell that by the results?
 
JSJ, the mobility ranking must explain why so many of our graduates end up with children attending more 'elite' academic colleges, and I guess in a way that's okay.
