This is a thread for all the haters - you know who you are - to come and commiserate. Here you can complain among yourselves. Feel free to choose among the following nonsensical themes:

- Complain that Lavin doesn't wear a tie.
- Complain that he uses the word "unicorn".
- Complain that he doesn't put winning ahead of the kids.
- Complain that he didn't sell the soul of this program to get Tiny & Whitehead.
- Complain that his kids don't improve.
- Complain that he can't coach.

Only a partial list. Please don't feel you need to limit yourself to the above topics. I'm sure you can come up with others.

The rest of us can now, finally, ignore you, and continue to enjoy this wonderful team, these wonderful players, and this season that I'm going to be profoundly saddened to see end.

Feels as though this Board is becoming like Capitol Hill, dysfunctional. 100 years from now, people will still be bitching about the coach, not only on this Board but ALL sites. It is who we are, so accept that people have different opinions and move on. I like the staff, but that doesn't mean everyone else has to. Peace!

:) Difference is, I guarantee you no one on Capitol Hill is having this much fun!
 
Lavin only recruits in good vacation spots, because the $800 ticket is too much for him to afford with his measly million-dollar salary.

Lavin is a lazy recruiter despite the fact that he recruited Alibegovic for a year straight, Briscoe's dad saying Lavin recruiting his ass off for his son for five years, that he was on Brandon Sampson since 8th grade, and that he was on both Gathers and Jarrell Martin since taking the job.

Lavin can only win with someone else's players (but Holtmann of Butler is deserving of Big East COY for doing it because, well, the grass is always greener....) in spite of whatever he achieves this season.

Marillac and all other posters like him are all unrealistic cheerleaders to think this team could make the tournament with no size or depth and Lavin at the helm.
 
Marillac, you, I and some other posters on here are willing to accept mediocrity. Others are better than that. That's why they want Lavin gone.

I'm feeling so inadequate right now.
 
His outfits and nonsensical spewing aside, there are legit complaints. I am on record as saying he should get an extension if they make the tourney, however he hasn't been a slam dunk. More like a layup that spins around the world before finally going in. His recruiting by far his strongest attribute has been uneven and his game shakiness predates his stint here. Again I think if /when we get in he has done enough, but he is certainly not above criticism.

BTW I said before the season the fact that he has only 6 legit guys will actually help him as there is not that much he can do to screw up.

I hope those "fans" remain under the rock. I hate coach's use of timeouts, but I still want him here in the future.

The best thing about so many of these threads is that Lavin is guilty of every poster's ignorance. If I don't know something then obviously it isn't true. Recruits I don't know about don't exist. Visits to recruits or contact with recruits that are unknown to me don't exist. Where is Franz Kafka when we really need him?
