Under Armour MSG Games- Seton Hall gets a game

Perhaps will get a game with ND, Maryland or Utah out of it soon. Cant think of any other big time ball teams with UA.

If only we had an AD with a pair who won't let the Garden walk all over us inviting half the college basketball world to play at MSG.

Totally agree with you Moose.

The fact Seton Hall is made up of NYC and are right across the river and we are going up against them for a lot of kids we should not be allowing them to play in MSG.

This is a complete joke.

Have we ever had one ?

I agree with all three of you, Moose, Bucknasty and Kred. The problem I see though is that we have been so bad for so long with the exception of a few seasons, that we have no leverage with MSG at all right now. It's not like we pack the house for our games there on a regular basis. If we get really good again under this staff and become a perennial top 20 program and we start packing The Garden again for our home games then we will have some leverage and will be able to possibly tell The Garden that we will not accept this. Until that happens though, I don't think we have a leg to stand on.

If we only had an AD., and not General Counsel of the University masquerading as one as Bobby G. pinches pennies.

Think MSG is having more college games the last few years is because they are in competition with Barclay's and don't want them to corner the market.

We should be playing SHU and every Big East team at the Garden. Seton Hall should not be playing non-conference game at the Garden, but they do it because we play them at CA 4 times in 5 years.

SJU is in no position to tell MSG what to do lol. SHU is a local school that just won the BET and helped sell out MSG for the championship game. We're at 5 years without a single BET WIN and only have good attendance when we're playing Syracuse or Nova.

MSG is much bigger than our program.

I don't see that doubleheader drawing any more fans than our typical game. Likely less.

You're probably right. Lots of BC grads in the NY area who probably pine for the BE days but with the program in the shape its in unlikely they'll come in huge numbers. The SEC schools won't draw on a random Monday in December,

MSG has always had other games some with locals and some nationally and will continue to do so even if we become a consistent top notch program. They need to keep the building open for as many nights with as many events as possible and with the Knicks not making any runs into the late spring anytime soon this is one way of doing that. Add that they have competition from Barclays, they know they have to stay on top of their game.

Yes and those games and tourneys have been growing quite a bit even with the NIT move to Barclays.
