Lost to Wake 78 -73. I''ll wait a few games before being overconfident.

If this SJU squad is to claw their way to double digit season win totals (10-12 overall wins seems like a reasonable goal given the roster, but may be unattainable), winning these type of games is essential. The Big East schedule is likely to be brutal for us, so I look to these games as numbing some of the pain of a long season.
 
In a season where wins will be very hard to come by , which prognosis got much worse last week with Lovett being declared in eligible , this is a game which would be called a must win. Not in terms of a post- season bid but rather for the morale of the players and staff and the long suffering fans who had ticket prices raised while having to sit through a complete rebuild of a season. All three groups deserve much much better.
Let's go Redmen.

Agree, win the games you should v the UMBCs of the world, try to avoid being slaughtered by top teams & compete with bottom rung BE teams (win a few perhaps) to me = successful season. All about the learning process & building foundation.
