The feckless NCAA didn’t do anything to UNC offering “no show classes” for athletes, passed on investigating credible allegations regarding Ari$ona coach Reggie Miller, turned a blind eye to the convictions arising out of the US Justice Department’s investigations so I will be surprised if the NCAA does not merely rubber stamp the proposed weak kneed penalties which Yukon has proposed.

How much of their admission of guilt have to do with their battle not to pay Ollie for remaining contract years?

True on UNC, but I thought the NCAA was waiting for the government cases to finish up before reviewing the cheating cases under prosecution.
Even with four NCAA championships and the great womens program it is not a slam dunk that uconn gets the UNC treatment. They are not in a football power league. They don't have anyone looking out for them. The admitted violations are minor but they come a few years after the NCAA sanctioned them for not having a serious internal compliance program in place. Maybe the NCAA sees this the way most people outside of Connecticut see it - If UConn was winning under Ollie they would not have self-reported anything.
We'll see in two years when the NCAA gets around to it.

Years ago , it was a pretty good joke that if Ohio State was being investigated for Violations that Cleveland State was going to bear the brunt of NCAA actions .
