Uconn-DePaul Women's game

Last night I watched this great match up and our our sister school almost broke the Uconn record of 166 consecutive wins against conference opponents.
Uconn is ranked 10th nationally but it is not the Uconn of old. It will be interesting to see what happens to them once Geno Auriemma retires but he looks like he has a few more years to dominate the Big East..
DePaul has an interesting freshman who has to have the biggest and most disturbing mop atop her head.  While a very good player, her hair was an obvious visual distraction.  In fact, in the current crop of college players, both men and women seem very interested in their hair color and length, along with tats, as much as their attention to wearing the school uniform.
Just my old traditional view of things.

Interesting, nothing about the game itself/Uconn or DePaul, or about where DePaul is ranked. Nothing connected to St. John's, that's fine, but all this mentioning of hairdos ???

If you were interested in the game stats, rankings or where the teams are ranked, I'm sure you are adept enough to click on ESPN and knock yourself out.
I on the other hand watched this women's game because it featured two of the best coaches in women's basketball and because Uconn hasn't lost to a conference opponent in the past 166 games.  I was rooting for DePaul to end that winning streak.  It was a close game with the lady huskies coming out on top.
Other than that intriguing match up, the singular thing that stood out for me was the almost comical hairdo of freshman phenom Aneesah Morrow. Morrow is arguably the best freshman in the country but unlike her high school years, she has decided to attach so many extensions to her hair that she looks very different from her former self just a few months ago..
As for the St. Johns women's team, if you follow them I'm sure you would agree that this is the weakest team coach T has ever had and they would not be in the same conversation as DePaul or Uconn.
Finally, my observations are purely personal.  You may like players with big purple hair.. I prefer the look of an athlete who spends more time in the gym than at the hair salon.

Tough loss for the SJ women tonight vs. DePaul.

Bailey had a great game to keep them close to DePaul all game long but she had 6 turnovers and SJ had 20 for the game. Those were a lot of T/O's to overcome.
IMO, DePaul should be a ranked team but the women's game is dominated by the blue bloods.
