Hey just wanted to let everyone know that there is a post game reception at Stout for "dribble for the cure " that starts right after the game. One of our members here who doesn't post too much but reads the boards ( Shaun Latshaw ) is very involved with this and I think he's been cancer free for 16 years or something like that.

I met Shaun last year at the UCLA game when a bunch of us met for drinks the night before ( in fact Shaun and his brother are in the UCLA redmen.com party pic that I have posted on this site ).

Anyway he's a cool dude and especially in light of what Coach has gone thru it's a very worthwhile cause. $20 and free appetizers. Not bad for those with the post game munchies. Even if you can't make it and want to contribute that's cool also. Here is the link

Whoever didn't get a chance to go missed a GREAT post game party.

The Latshaws put on a great event for a great cause and their entire family is awesome.

Coach Keady showed up and then Mary Ann showed up and was graceful and stunning as usual and then Coach Lavin came for the grand finale and stole the show by speaking impromptu.

I don't think for a second he isn't coming back next year now. We are beyond lucky to have him as our coach. He was so humble tonight he didn't even want to talk about him recruiting these kids who were undermanned and beat UCLA.

All he wanted to talk about were the kids themselves and how proud he has been of each and every one of them and pointed out little things they have done to improve themselves.

Today was a very good day and a GREAT event for a worthwhile cause.

Anyone who wants to donate still click on the link and call the number
