Tyrone Grant Success Story

Grant was also one of my favorites...was he the only one to play for Mahoney, Fraschilla & Jarvis?

Thanks for the story. Tyrone Grant was lunch pail player and I say that with nothing but respect. He was a tough physical presence for St John's. Good to hear he is doing well.

Could use one like him now.

One of my favorite all-time. He was really the last St. Johns player that had a refined offense down low, he played old school, he had the kind of game where it was clear he'd played a lot of games against older people on the play ground. He knew all tricks and those moves helped him because he had bad knees. These kinds of players don't seem to exist anymore on the East Coast - those mid-west school are loaded with them though - St. Johns has had a bunch of players in the Billy Singleton, Lamont Hamilton, Ty Grant mold.
