As a proud, former, deep South Bronxite youngster until Cardinal Hayes suggested St. Johns in Bklyn as an opportunity, I am thrilled that people can now focus on the Poorest Congressional District in America, then in 1950 and now, as a place where the the population is still "upwardly mobile" and successful going forward. Any money in America spent in the South Bronx insures that kids still compete like they did in the 50's to contribute to America and make a classic buck while making that contribution in their careers. They are no longer almost exclusively Black,Irish, Jewish, and Italian anymore but they have a winners ethic; there is no place but up. Support them if you can.
