I don’t know if it’s coaches rushing players back early or if they just don’t have the right knowledge of the situation, but it’s a bad look for the coach either way. No way he comes out of a hard cast and goes to playing games in 3 weeks. There’s a long process in between there.
I would think the coach has commented based on what the medical people have apprised him about.
Maybe he just has his own timetable or just wants to be extremely conservative. Or maybe he is using this as a reason to transfer out because he doesn’t want to be there??
I don’t know how bad or exactly where the fractures were in his foot/ankle and can’t answer either way if he should be ready or not in that timespan without seeing how his rehab has gone. But if he has no issues weight bearing after the cast was removed and has full range of motion, didn’t have major ligament issues and his strength is fine his foot and ankle then 3-4 weeks later if all has gone well he could be playing again.

Wow.....I didn't think anyone was denied anymore. This is especially surprising because I believe he left in response to Masiello being fired.

Of all the stupid things the NCAA does, denying waivers because the prior school doesn’t support it has to be at the top of the list. We saw the same thing with Dunn a few years ago, what a joke.
Looks like someone joined the “Get off my lawn” club.
