Here is the Top 10 Pro-Ready Players:http://roundballdirect.com/2012/08/30/top-10-pro-ready-players/
Wow. NOEL??????
Scouts at Addidas Nation a month ago were debating if he's COLLEGE ready yet! Zero offensive skills, looked lost on the court. At 6'10 215 outmuscled by every post he ran into. Very good shot blocker, but so was Keith Closs....Likely WILL go pro, but on Hype and potential only - NOT because he's anywhere close to "ready".
this is the same concept as was discussed im regards to Mo going pro. It is based on potential. I am not sure what they see but that is also why i am not a scout or recruiter (=

Except that THIS is a month before the opening of PRACTICE for their frosh seasons - not after 35 games of D-1 basketball.
Even the MOST die-hard St. Johns and Mo fans were'nt even HINTING at the possiblity of Mo being in the NBA in less than a year last Labor Day.

That's because at this time last year we thought Moe was Garrett's size. If Moe was 6'9 coming out of HS he would have been rated in the top 20 of the class.
As it is, he showed up on campus and everybody did a double take because he grew 2 inches over the summer. From that moment on, his nba prospects took off dramatically.
But, I agree about Noel not being NBA ready. Nowhere close.
I think they made a good call on CJ Leslie though. He looked good for NC State last year, and has the body to play in the league.

Just a minor disagreement. 6'7 or 6'9 - thist time last year he was a St. John's signee - a school that hadn't sent a kid to the NBA in a decade, and couldn't even get it's ALL AMERICAN player (Hardy) drafted. No one was thinking NBA ready, no matter what size. Mo is the guy who's changing that perception for the kids that are following him to St. Johns. I guarantee you someone in some NBA office is in the back of their mind thinking "I gotta check out Sampson. I gotta check out Sanchez. I gotta check out Obekpa" - because of Mo, scouts are not going to "sleep" on St. Johns kids anymore.

CR, I hear what you are saying about Moe paving the way for St Johns kids and changing the reputation the program had in the eyes of league execs. He did. I don't doubt that.
And thankfully too, because we needed somebody to break through.
But I'll repost a story I mentioned on the jungle awhile back..
At the 2k tournament in the beginning of last season I happened to be sitting in the row behind a number of nba scouts. Mitch Kuchak the gm for the Lakers was literally the seat in front of my fiance and I. And this must have been the first time he saw Moe, because right after the tip, first or second possession, he asked some guy from the Sonics what he had Moe listed at, and the guy said 6'6 to 6'7, and Kupchak said that can't be right "Harkless has inches on Hill", meaning Solomon Hill from Arizona.
I can tell you that for the rest of the game, not only was the whole row of scouts commenting on how long Moe looked, and talking about him generally, but they charted his shots and spent 90% of the game with their binders open to Moe's page. Not the pg Turner, or Nick Johnson, or Lindsey (which surprised me at the time).
And that was way before he dropped 30 on Providence, or had his big game against Duke. I really think the reason Moe wasn't talked about as a one and done, or as highly touted before the season was because everyone thought he had average sf size. If everybody knew he was the same size as Quincy Miller, Moe would've been ranked in the top 20 coming out of HS. And subsequently would've had NBA talk surrounding him.
Really, hearing these scouts so shocked at his size, convinced me of that.
I admit not reading all the links.. is he really 6' 10" 215??? I am 8 inches shorter and 10 pounds heavier and still look like i could add a few.Wow. NOEL??????
