Thanks. I was at that game but never actually watched on TV. Almost sold my tickets to some Duke fans. The ones sitting around me paid $300-$350 per ticket. Not exactly money well spent lol. Looking forward to seeing it on TV.

Watching the first half of this game reminds me of how much better coached we are now. Our decision making and shot selection was absolutely horrific!

I do miss Ponds craftiness. Flaws, but fun to watch at his best.

Owen's & Ahmed were huge in this game.

Team had talent. Sum of parts much less then the whole.

Small note from that game: what a goddamn disappointment Trevon Duval was. Dukes point guard that year. He was the best player to ever come out of my hometown, got so much hype when he was in high school. Some scouts were saying he was the next Kyrie. Never became anything really.

I had forgotten how big Owens and Ahmed came up in that game.

I was unable to watch last night, hope it comes on again. Tariq was a warrior against Duke and I recall that game being Ahmed's finest hour with us (or at least very close to it).

That game was the standard that I hope our program can attain.
Great teamwork and packed and excited MSG. Beating a top 5 team.

i remember watching a HS all star game on TV the summer before Ponds freshman year. For part of the game he was matched up against Duval and was clearly the better player. Small sample size and unstructured format but it was pretty obvious.

Agree with all you say Knight, except great teamwork. Still way to many bad decisions on offense and times when kids went one on one. Shamorie hit some mind boggling shots that were not good shots, till they went in. We were hot and they were not. After 11 losses in a row, law of averages. Having said all that, one of my most exciting and memorable moments at MSG

I taped this last night. I watched this afternoon. Just a couple of quick thoughts.

1- Duke was really overrated at #4. Lots of talent but all too young.
2- SJU came into that game having lost 11 in a row! I think I heard that right? They were 10-13 heading into that game. I have to say it, no way that team should have been that bad. I’ll just leave it there.

That was probably Ahmed's best game as a Johnnie.

Either that, or the Butler game later that season, that we won with Ponds out.

Thought same as i watched. Hard to believe we lost 11 in a row irrespective of the depth issues.
