Has anyone heard of a report that Tom Jurich was on campus earlier this week?
A faculty members son mentioned it at my gym.I doubt this will happen Rick was innocent and the ad had nothing to do with other then be a scapegoat . I read he did wonders at Louisville knows Rick . I would love this move but where is this report you speak of?
I personally don’t trust many people in the coaching, AD world. Just days ago the Texas AM coach lied like a rug and bailed out. We have witnessed this our entire lives from many including Sabin. I wish him luck.Interview & quote from last year
CRAWFORD | A long time coming: Tom Jurich talks U of L years, final months, and NCAA vindication
There are hard feelings.www.wdrb.com
Q: What's going on in your life right now and what is your future? Do you see yourself getting back into the business at any point?
JURICH: No, not at all. I'm enjoying what I'm doing. We really enjoy Florida, we love our place in South Carolina. We've always been lake people. And we wanted a place where all the kids can get to pretty easily, and all my kids are on the East Coast. Colorado is a little bit more difficult – but we're staying in Colorado also. We love to ski and all that. So, we've done a lot of that. A lot of golf, a lot of boating, a lot of water stuff. I've enjoyed my time. And you know, I do a lot of riding the bike, running and walking. I had my knee replaced and had to rehab through that. No, I really don't have any interest in getting back into it. But I do want to see my people do well, my coaches and I want to do anything I can to help them.
No clue. Why did never get another job
He did a monumental job at Louisville. Hugely improved all athletics in every conceivable way. If you take the time to look up and watch the Year of the Cardinal ESPN special on the 2013 season, when Louisville men's basketball won a NC, women's BB reached the final game, football won a BCS Bowl and the baseball team made the college world series..... All of that was a direct result of the job Tom Jurich did during his tenure there.I read he did wonders at Louisville
Yes he’s the Manjurichian CandidateIs he even a candidate
It's a package deal, Jurich as AD and John Wooden for coach. Is he even a candidate
Ok that was F’ing funnyYes he’s the Manjurichian Candidate
Mothballs or not, we don't get talent like Jurich. To say we'd be lucky to land him, would be the understatement of the year. He's only 67 so I don't think it's that crazy to think he wants one last bit at the apple with Pitino for the next 5 years and give himself a better ending. In all seriousness the guy has been retired in Florida for nearly a decade. It's a whole new world out there. Not the time to take somebody out of mothballs who was successful in a prior era and hope it translates.
67 younger than the average age here. He’s a young whippersnapperMothballs or not, we don't get talent like Jurich. To say we'd be lucky to land him, would be the understatement of the year. You'd need to add Andre McGee for that.If we bring back Jurich after hiring Pitino, and our players are being paid (legally) now, all we'd be missing are hookers for official visits.
