Tom Jurich

I doubt this will happen Rick was innocent and the ad had nothing to do with other then be a scapegoat . I read he did wonders at Louisville knows Rick . I would love this move but where is this report you speak of?

Interview & quote from last year

Q: What's going on in your life right now and what is your future? Do you see yourself getting back into the business at any point?

JURICH:
No, not at all. I'm enjoying what I'm doing. We really enjoy Florida, we love our place in South Carolina. We've always been lake people. And we wanted a place where all the kids can get to pretty easily, and all my kids are on the East Coast. Colorado is a little bit more difficult – but we're staying in Colorado also. We love to ski and all that. So, we've done a lot of that. A lot of golf, a lot of boating, a lot of water stuff. I've enjoyed my time. And you know, I do a lot of riding the bike, running and walking. I had my knee replaced and had to rehab through that. No, I really don't have any interest in getting back into it. But I do want to see my people do well, my coaches and I want to do anything I can to help them.

I personally don’t trust many people in the coaching, AD world. Just days ago the Texas AM coach lied like a rug and bailed out. We have witnessed this our entire lives from many including Sabin. I wish him luck.

I can't see him leaving his luxury home in Florida for a hot seat on Union Turnpike.
Then again Paultzman could post his avatar tomorrow!

I read he did wonders at Louisville
He did a monumental job at Louisville. Hugely improved all athletics in every conceivable way. If you take the time to look up and watch the Year of the Cardinal ESPN special on the 2013 season, when Louisville men's basketball won a NC, women's BB reached the final game, football won a BCS Bowl and the baseball team made the college world series..... All of that was a direct result of the job Tom Jurich did during his tenure there.

In all seriousness the guy has been retired in Florida for nearly a decade. It's a whole new world out there. Not the time to take somebody out of mothballs who was successful in a prior era and hope it translates.
Mothballs or not, we don't get talent like Jurich. To say we'd be lucky to land him, would be the understatement of the year. He's only 67 so I don't think it's that crazy to think he wants one last bit at the apple with Pitino for the next 5 years and give himself a better ending.

67 younger than the average age here. He’s a young whippersnapper

If we bring back Jurich after hiring Pitino, and our players are being paid (legally) now, all we'd be missing are hookers for official visits. 😀
