Can anyone remember the last time a first game seemed to have so much riding on it? I'm thinking Kentucky in 2001 (Willie Shaw did touch the ball last lol). I know that if lose it's not the end of the world but it's almost as if some prognosticators are penciling us into the Tournament if we win Friday.

That was actually in 2000. I remember that game fairly well, and I do believe we got away with touching the ball.

It was 2000 but it was the 2000-2001 season I believe. Shaw was definitely not on the 2000 team that lost to Gonzaga in the 2nd round. Ugh, another painful loss.
