I would like to encourage as many members of Redmen.com to attend the Tip Off event on Friday. Let's try to let the team and coaches know that we are behind them. I believe that this can be a special year for St. Johns basketball. We have depth and talent at every position.
Additionally it would be nice to welcome back some of our former players during the Alumni game. As an alumnus, I am looking forward to seeing some of the players that I rooted for over the years. Hopefully there will also be a lot of Student Body support.

Especially if they close off half the arena like they have in the past. Last year they made us line up outside in the rain and didn't open the doors until just past the announced starting time. Wonder what they have in store for everyone this year-set off the indoor sprinkler system? :unsure:
 
Not sure if this has been mentioned in another thread, but for all you alums out there, there is a special alumni Tip-Off event at 6:30 at Carnesecca Arena. It's part of the Oktoberfest weekend. You will be in a special alumni seating section & receive an SJU gift bag. The RSVP was date was yesterday but I am sure if you call the Alumni office you can still get a ticket, which is free by the way.
 
Amazing. A winning culture at St. John's starts now. This event next year will be a sellout, and I think we break all kinds of attendance records.
 
Is the entire event going to be on ESPN3 like last year, or is it just going to be whatever coverage FS1 gives us?

I think some of the students are lining up for Lupe Fiasco.

UPDATE: About 1,500 tickets remain for #RedStormTipOff! Students can pick-up all day, non-students begin at 3:30 p.m.
