Excellent turnout last evening at Guastavino's.

I would guess somewhere around 250 people attended including athlete's, support staff and administrators..

Just about all memebers of the men's and women's team were there. All represented the University extremely well.

Made one proud to be an alumnus.

Lav was very optimistic about the upcoming season.

Big East Commissioner, Val Ackerman spoke for 15 minutes and was incredibly impressive.

Gus Johnson and Bill Raferty were in fine form.

Lots of $ raised through a silent auction as well as open bidding (among items offerred were: foursome with Gus Johnson and Coach Keady went for $10K !!, Trip to Butler went for $7,500, I believe).

Jack Kaiser, Billy Schaefer, Mel Davis, Tarik Turner, Felipe Lopez, Gus Alfieri, Frank Alagia, Terrance Mullin, Jason Williams, and Charles Oakley among those who attended. Coach Carnesecca was under the weather (nothing serious).

Extremely well run and organized event. The evening was great fun.

Kudo's to all who played a part in such a successful event.

Thanks for the update. I would have liked to have been there, maybe next year. Good to see the program getting the support it deserves.

Wow - Jason Williams! I know he's had his problems, but I'm glad that he was welcomed there, considering his unparalleled generosity to the university among professional athletes.

Jayson has been coming to events for a couple years now. Or since his release. He was at the Carnesseca Golf outing last year for sure.
