Tim Tebow & the AZ Fall League

Yesterday I attended the Surprise Saquares & Scottsdale Scorpians game. Unfortunately, only got to see one Met play out of ten on the team. BTW, Tom Goodwin, Met first base coach, is the manager of the Scorpians squad. Fortunately, it was the one I really wanted to see - Tim Tebow. Defensively he lost a fly ball in the sun, leading to a run. Offensively he struck out with the bases loaded (96 mph fastball), hit into a double play and lined a double to left center against a hard throwing lefty. Greg Bird (N.Y. Yankees) was a designated hitter who went hitless. I really liked another Yankee, 21 year old third basemen, Miquel Andujar.
Most impressive hitters were two Saquaros players, Texas Ranger designated hitter Jose Trevino and Pittsburgh Pirate outfielder, Wood.
lAt last years Met Fall League game not one Met player got into the game.

Andujar will be in Triple A next year. He had a solid year in Double AA. The past few seasons in A and Low A, he got off to very bad starts but both years picked it up considerably in the second half. This year he was much more consistent for the entire year. At 21 he is still a pup and I like his potential.

It is the hope of the Yankees Bird (missed the entire season with shoulder surgery) will fully recover (I don't think he has been cleared to throw in a game yet, hence he has been DHing) in order to be their full time first basemen next year or at the very least, platoon with Tyler Austin.
