This interview tells an awful lot about Tim Cluess. A few years ago, my son was on the same little league team as Tim's son. He and I became casual friends about 5-6 years before that when I coached the same son in a town intramural league basketball team. I had asked him to help out a couple of time, and he was amazing at getting 3rd and 4th grade kids organized, and being totally at ease around kids that age, most of which had little to no basketball skills. At Little league, although neither of us coached, he intently watched practice, and in no time flat learned every kids name. When they came in from the field, he would offer most of them quiet enoucragement, calling them by name.
Tim is certainly one of the great guys in sport, period. I totally support what Lavin has done here, but if we ever had a chance to hire this guy, he would be something special for this university to have.
