Hey, agree this was really good. You have a professional voice, and I agree with a lot of what you said, especially that Seton Hall and Creighton are clearly programs where we want to be, but are not at this point.
A little over the top on GW, JC, and Posh, but that's ok - after a win we can all be a little delirious.
GW is showing some glimpses (and not just yesterday) that he is capable of shouldering some of our scoring on a regular basis. I'm thinking of one of his dunks a few games ago that was mildly reminiscent of the Starks dunk vs. the Bulls. It's not an aberration when GW goes off from three, he's got really good fundamentals from outside and makes good decisions on selection. As he refines selection and becomes more of a focal point, he could (should) become our number two weapon on offense.
I will for now take every (inexperienced) mistake Posh makes in return for what he brings to the table. This is like a kid you hire in a supermarket who never stops working, so hard that he puts others to shame. Posh has a non stop motor, and even when beat doesn't give up on a play (unlike Mullin's last team here that gave up completely when someone beat them in halfcourt or went ahead of the field.). So he's not JC in terms of maturity and composure but he's not built that way. Easily will become a fan favorite, likely THE fan favorite when fans are actually allowed to be present.
JC -, Julian, not Jesus, has this Walt Frazier like coolness in him. He doesn't yap, doesn't celebrate like he just won the NCAA championship after a simple basket, etc. You look up and he has 18/12 in the quietest way imaginable. He's the guy that in the schoolyard everyone wants when you choose sides, because he does so many things well.
There are others obviously, but maybe we are starting to see what could be the core of this team for the next couple of seasons. Add a top shelf talent or two, and I'm starting to believe this squad has the fundamental parts to move up into the first division of the Big East, or at least be competitive there.
Eric, until JSJ's post I wasn't going to waste my time, and I'm glad I clicked. Stop dressing like the guy you want to keep your kids away from in the schoolyard, and I'll subscribe. (Just kidding, you are fine) If that video was one take, you may have a future in broadcasting.
Couldn't agree more about the Tasmanian Devil, Posh. Has already become my favorite. Never takes a single play off. Could use a bit more control, perhaps, but that should come with maturity.
