"D.J. Kennedy, Paris Horne, Justin Burrell, Sean Evans, Malik Boothe, and Dele Coker were to be the core of the new, resurgent Red Storm.
That team would finish their first season 11-19 (5-13 in the Big East)....In their 2nd year as a unit, the team would finish the season 16-18 picking up one more win then the previous year in Big East play, 6-12. Their 3rd year saw a lot more progress."
This class brought St. Johns back to the NCAA tournament 6 of them (sound familiar) yet look at their record when they were all freshman.
The new guys that we have now have now (6 of them) are even more talented and passionate for this team, let them breath, they are playing their harts out and NOT GIVING UP they will surprise everyone, and much sooner than people think. Its just not going to be as fast as we wanted it to be, and that is why everyone is complaining, and whining.
yes, like many of you i thought this class of 9 was going to be the next "Fab 5" and we would be a final four team this year. That is just a dream, that will not happen this year, but it will be fulfilled within 4 years. mark my words I am very confident about that.
Lavin is getting healthy, and everyone keeps working hard. We are on our way. :evil:
